Possible to horizontally split right pane?

Things I have tried

I tried reading the help about panes. I searched the forum for “split right pane”.

And I tried dragging a note to the right pane. It show up as a tab, replacing the calendar.

What I’m trying to do

I have the calendar plugin showing in the right pane most of the time. That’s great (thanks plugin author!), but it leaves a lot of valuable space below, where I would like to show a document with a list of important tasks.

But it doesn’t seem to be possible to split that pane horizontally, it that correct?

(This is my first post btw, so excited about Obsidian, it’s amazing!)

Absolutely possible, you probably didn’t drag the item low enough to get it to split. Check out the gif I recorded.

Thank you so much! For some reason I have to drag it to the lowest third but then it works .
