Integration Idea/Discussion: Insomnia REST Client Markdown Links

I use a REST API client called Insomnia (like Postman), and I just realized they have a feature to create markdown links to invoke a REST API call. So you could click a link in your markdown preview which would have a link-handler for Insomnia that brings up the app and performs the request. When the Obsidian API is released, this could be an easy way to go from link to API call without writing scripts. Any other ideas?
