How about plugin which inserts a syntax or snippet from drop down menu on pressing F1 or Ins button, in the editor.
Syntax-es can be pre-stored, and snippets (pieces of text) can be user inputted.

I guess you could do this with the template plugin. 
Are you suggesting that the ‘Template Plugin’ has such functionality?
Or are you saying that I can build from that Plugin?
PS: Sorry, I am not a programmer, I just know the basics.
Template PlugIn has this functionality. You can define Templates which are just one word or even one letter. Templates are always inserted at your cursor position
