Plugin: Life in weeks calendar

I’ve just released a new plugin: Life in Weeks Calendar — available via the Community Plugins.

Overview

This plugin alternate way of displaying your calendar. It displays your entire life in a grid of weeks. It color-codes past, present, and future weeks and, more importantly, marks the weeks when you have created a weekly Obsidian note.

It’s built on the concept of a life in weeks or memento mori calendar which serves as a reminder of the finite nature of life, and with that, the importance of being mindful of how we spend our time.

Current version

The initial release syncs with settings from Periodic Notes and Calendar plugin.

Upcoming release

An update is in progress that will allow using any folder as source for weekly notes so that you Periodic Notes and Calendar plugin will not be required for full functionality.

I’ve gotten a couple requests to support weekly notes from the Journals plugin so I’ve added that feature.

The newest release allows you to use weekly note settings from the Journals plugin. If that doesn’t work, you can manually set folder, file naming pattern, and the first day of the week.
