Plugin for flashcards & note-level spaced repetition all inside Obsidian

Hi, I’ll add this to the roadmap.

Personally, I add the formatting in the existing note. Most people do this.

Great news and Great jobs. Continuity of new releases gives the confidence to use the plugin in the long run.

Thank you sincerely for all the efforts.

@st3v3n @gruxel
It happens with me too.
I figured out that if we have our cursor at the beginning of the file ie. before the yaml block, plugin will add another block. But if we have our cursor anywhere else on the note/file, it adds to the existing YAML.

@st3v3n
This issue needs your urgent attention. Please look into it
Basically, now a new deck is added in my flashcard review which isn’t my assigned tag for deck but rather is a separator for multi-line cards.

The bug must have gone in due to this PR. Lemme fix it.

Perfect, this already helps a lot.

Hi, first of all, thank you so much for this plugin. It’s very useful. This completely turns Obsidian into a strong competitor with Remnote.

I’m wondering if could be possible in the future add the type-in the answer anki’s functionality?. Or there’s already a workaround for doing this?
It’d be great to be able to compare your typed input with the correct answer

Thanks again!

Hi,
I’m actually unable to get this plugin to work at all on iOS 12.5.
Can someone confirm if it does or doesn’t work on iOS 12?
Tapping the flashcards icon does absolutely nothing. Any ideas?

Absolutely necessary. So far all SR plugins within Obsidian force you to wait a fixed amount of time if you press any of the options.

Even if you have forgotten the card and press “Again/Forgotten” it forces you to wait a whole day.

Plugin creator please make it possible!

Hello, can you add a button on the far left like Anki so that this card can be reviewed on the same day? (My English is not a native language, Google Translate is used, please understand if there is an error)

Hello!
Can we allow headings to be toggled in the flashcard mode?
My use case: I am making a Japanese kanji deck and would like to include extra information about the selected kanji but have it remain hidden unless I choose to see it whilst reviewing.
When in flashcard mode, all headings are forced to be unfolded.

On this note I question: how difficult would it be to implement a “hint” in a similar way to Anki?
It would be useful to introduce usable language to design a card (as currently the only usable language is things such as: “::, ==cloze==” etc which make cards instead of format elements of a card.

Im not really used to things like obsidian so I hope this made sense!

Hope it will be available soon :raised_hands:t3:

Hello y’all :wave:t5:. Here’s a release that has been long overdue.
Many thanks to everyone who contributed!

  • Add customizable review buttons (@AB1908)

Bug Fixes:

  • Fix breakage with Obisidian v0.15.4 (@AB1908)
  • Handle code fences better (@zcysxy)

QoL Improvements:

P.S.

I haven’t been able to put in as much work into this plugin as I would have liked over the past 8 months (final year in uni & started working). Now that the dust has settled, I’ll get through bug fixes & the most requested features over the next few weeks.

Also, we’re still looking for translators! The plugin has been translated into Czechia, German, Japanese, Korean, Russian, & Simplified Chinese so far.

Cheers!

Hello!

When I use small images in flashcards they become enlarged/zoomed in too fill the width. Can there be an option for do not enlarge images? 100% original image size maximum. I have tried changing the flashcard width percentage to minimum but that did not help.

Thanks!

Edit: If there also could be an option for just viewing answers without the question on the same screen that would be great. If images are used both in question and answer you have to scroll manually for each card to see the answer.

Really useful plugin, many thanks! Is there a way to correct this spacing issue with some simple CSS?

Occurs on both desktop and mobile for me using the minimal theme.
