Steps to reproduce
On mobile, while in Reading View, press on an animated gif and select Play Animation. Editing mode will switch to source mode (I don’t use live preview). You then have to switch back to reading view to see the gif play.

Pressing Play Animation will play the animation while staying in Reading mode.
Actual result
Pressing play animation while in Reading Mode switches you to editing mode. You have to switch back to Reading Mode to see the gif.
