@WhiteNoise Any idea what can be done for Xiaomi’s in this case?
Attempt to contact Xiaomi Support and ask them

Two more ideas
- nowadays, phones are mini computers and some options are difficult to access, because deeply nested behind other options. The way to find missing options is to try to look for keywords in the search field of your phone settings
- where did you buy your phone? Xiaomi is a great Chinese brand, I bought one of their earlier products in China before they sold on a global scale. If you bought in the west, you should have access to Google features too.
It could be a mistake to focus on Xiaomi to solve this issue. The other user having the same issue I did was using a Samsung or a Moto. In this reddit post the user was having their gallery pictures removed, which was never a problem for me. This specifically affects obsidian attachments and nothing else. Why? That is a good question.
Any other input on this issue. I am afraid the topic will close due inactivity.
Topics in the Bug reports category don’t close on their own.
I have a pixel 6, and my images/attachments have been mass deleted from my obsidian vault several times this past year. I have always done a mass restore but I waited too long this time and lost them for good. I’m not sure how to stop my phone from doing this… did anyone find a solution?
Where is this settings page?
It’s in the pixel’s “files” app.
