I know there’s a setting for having links be absolute paths already. What I’m proposing is an interface that allows you to pass a obsidian-formatted link (with or without a pipe), and return the path to the associated file (probably from the vault folder). This would account for whatever setting the user has chosen for links (shortest path, absolute, relative).

Current workaround:

  1. open the link
  2. run command “Copy file path” (via palette or hotkey)
  3. optionally, close the opened file.

(1.) is not always possible. It could be solved by: When link is pasted to quick switcher, then open it's target
