Steps to reproduce
1. Settings > Files & Links > Default location for new attachments
2. Using Ctrl+c, Ctrl+v to paste an image
Expected result
Pasted image is placed inside subfolder.
Actual result
that image will be in the main folder instead of the subfolder.

Hi @ocean416 you didn’t specify what settings you are using in “Default location” setting.
If you want to save in a subfolder, you need to do this:
- Set “Default location for new attachments” to “In subfolder under current folder”
- Under “Subfolder name”, you must specify a name for what the subfolder will be. (If you don’t specify a name, the setting will revert to “Same folder as current file”)
This is what my settings look like in a test, and the file does save correctly under a subfolder.
After following those steps, do you still experience the bug?
I can’t reproduce post a screen recording of this happeing in the help vault.
