Use case or problem
I often link to headings using [[## syntax to find headings from within any note, and I have many. Also, unfortunately my headings are not always named as descriptively as they could be because in context they make sense. Unfortunately, this means I often get many results in the suggestion list when making these links, and my ability to link to the correct one on the first try diminishes greatly. This same trouble also occurs sometimes within the Quick Switcher.
Proposed solution
Choosing the correct link or file would be easy if we were able to hold Control (or Command) while choosing from a link suggestion list (or Quick Switcher), causing a Page Preview to display, just like the behavior in notes.
Current workaround
Global search results allow Page Preview to work, but unfortunately there isn’t a Search Option for heading: like there is for file: so this workaround is of limited help for finding the correct heading to link to. Relevant request: Heading: Global Search filter option.
