Hello Obsidian forums! I just had a small bug to report with outdated information on the Obsidian Help page for ribbons, found in https://obsidian.md/help/ribbon
The page describes the “Show ribbon” toggle as being found under Settings → Appearance → Advanced. However, as of version 1.12.7, the setting is found under Settings → Interface.
Steps to reproduce
The outdated references can be found under the “Hide the ribbon” and “Show the ribbon” sections in the Obsidian help page.
I followed the troubleshooting guide, mostly to ensure that I was on the latest version of Obsidian
Expected result
The “Show ribbon” toggle should be visible in Settings → Appearance under the Advanced section.
Actual result
Instead, it is found under the Interface section. Attached are screenshots of the Interface and Advanced sections found in Settings → Appearance. The “Show ribbon” toggle is found in the former instead of the latter.
Environment
Just the Obsidian Help website as published in 2026-05-18.
