I don’t know if this was already suggested (didn’t find it) but i find the search results a bit cramped with them being in the sidebar. My suggestion would be to either make an option which allows them to be opened as a new pane or a more general solution which allows sidebars to be toggled between them being a sidebar and an actual pane.

Just to be sure. You do know the search pane width is adjustable don’t you?

Yes, but adjusting it every time when you search for something and then adjusting it back when you’re done is a bit tedious.
