Hi guys!
I’d love for a preference or hotkey for “open new file in new pane”, rather than the new file replacing the currently open file.

+1 - This has tripped me up so many times
+1 yes! please! would love to have this be the default behavior.
note however you can open stuff into new panes, by holding cmd (ctrl on windows) and then clicking the link to be opened. that does open stuff into new panes
