Open New Blank Workspace

What I’m trying to do

I would like to able to switch to “blank slate”.

What I really want to do really is this workflow:

(1) I’m working on a bunch of stuff and have lots of tabs/panels open.

(2) I realize I need to work on something else on a completely different “thought context”.

(3) I want to save all my open panels etc., and then click on a file in the explorer or a link and …

(4) A new blank unnamed workspace opens with the file in the single open panel

At the very least, as a halfway step, it would be great just have a clean workspace.

Things I have tried

I’ve tried this plugin – GitHub - nothingislost/obsidian-workspaces-plus: Quickly switch and manage Obsidian workspaces. It’s great. But it does do the “new workspace” thing.

Have you tried closing all tabs and saving that as a workspace?

That works to give me that “clean slate” nicely – thanks!
