When I select Open Help, either from the palette or the Help menu, the Help vault opens with two identical panes, both showing the Start Here file. They don’t appear to be linked panes, not sure how else I could have triggered this behavior?

It does the same for me. One is edit mode, the other is preview mode.

I think it makes sense to show both, to indicate to a new user that there are different modes.

But they should be linked, as far as I know. They are for me when I open the help vault.

When they open for me, they are linked. When I scroll one the other scrolls. When I type in the editor, it shows in the preview.

You can close one.
