Open an existing folder in iCloud Drive. Note that the folder is not in the iCloud Drive “Obsidian” folder, but rather one that already existed in the root of iCloud Drive.
This works well on desktop where I’m free to “Open folder as vault”, but since that option is missing on iOS, I’m guessing it’s impossible?
If I move this folder into the iCloud Drive Obsidian folder, I’m sure it would work, but I don’t want to do that.
Yes, on mobile, Obsidian can only access what’s in the iCloud Obsidian folder…so moving the other iCloud folder into the Obsidian one would be the easiest option.
Another one though, would be to use another app to open/read/update the files in the other iCloud folder while on mobile (Taio, Textstatic (paid), iA Writer (paid ?), etc…) .
Maybe there are more advanced setups/syncing methods (git ?) that could help you to get there… But I wouldn’t know about this .
