Open a Markdown file (Open path or drag and drop)?

Hi

I’m completely new with Obsidian and it’s weird to me! I clip a webpage and didn’t Open a feature like the common program to open the markdown file, so I create a “New Note” from the top-left of Obsidian and then drag the markdown file (clipped webpage) into a new note (into Obsidian).
Is this correct and standard to add and open a markdown file or I should do it another way?

You should move that .md file to your vault folder, using you system’s file explorer. Then it will show up in Obsidian’s note list, and you can edit or preview it.
