I’m working on an Obsidian theme with a few different visual styles. Each style has its own colors and overall feel, but the core design stays the same.
I’m not sure whether I should:
Keep it as one theme — users install it once and switch between styles through Style Settings.
Make separate themes — each style gets its own theme and can be installed separately.
Which would you prefer? And do you think having multiple styles inside one theme would make Style Settings too complicated?
I saw your themes and one of my first thoughts was, that i would have preferred if they came as one theme.
The Minimal Theme solved it by throwing in a plugin for managing the different color schemes. And shimmering focus for example has the color-schemes in Style settings. I think it works quiet well.
My opinion:
If your theme is just a switch in color-pallet, put them into one Plugin. If there are very distinct elements and behaviors, split them into multiple themes.
