Obsidian won't let me edit/input text into any note on Linux

Things I have tried

I’ve been playing around with themes, everything was fine, all of a sudden I just can’t type in any note, new or existing.

What I’m trying to do

Can anyone help me with this. It is happening on Linux, Android it still working fine. I was away from my laptop and when I came back it just started happening.

I’ve tried shutting everything down and bringing it back up but still have the issue.

When this happened to me I had to hit the ‘edit’ icon on the upper right - sorry if that’s obvious, but it wasn’t for me

As it turned out it was something simple. I had put Obsidian into vim mode and had forgotten about that. So all is well.
