I created one single vault using Obsidian Sync at my house.
I got to work to recreate it on the local hard drive.
Neither are on ANY other cloud platform (both at c:\my vault)
When I got to work, I saw TWO icons, not one. The first? the vault icon. The second? An “overlapping person” icon.
I installed them both to local at work. One at c:\my vault and the second at c:\my vault2
I did a right click properties on them in Windows file explorer. All the number match up.
Still, I’m hesitant. I need ONE source of truth. I need the most updated one.

How the HECK did this happen? Is it because I remoted into (yet another) work computer (at a DIFFERENT location, yes…I have several locations) and used Window’s built in Quick Assist and set it up that way (I was technically logged into BOTH vaults at the same time …from home AND at this particular work location).

What is the FASTEST and EASIEST way to do a comp diff on the two local directories to make ABSOLUTELY SURE that the Main vault is 1. Up to date on ALL files and 2. the ONLY source of truth going forward?

How do I prevent this from happening again? Two sources of truth will TANK me.
I appreciate any help anyone has to offer.
Thank you.
