Obsidian sync is duplicating some files endlessly.

Is there an issue when the folder also syncs with dropbox/drive etc?

Steps to reproduce

  1. Enable obsidian sync
  2. Observe the folder

Expected result

None of the files should duplicate

Actual result

Some files are duplicating every minute

Environment

  • Operating system: Windows 10
  • Obsidian version: v0.11.3

Additional information

  • might it have something with G drive sync

Same problem here. Did you find any solution?

I moved the folder out of the synced drive folder and that seems to remove the issue. For backup, I wrote a simple PowerShell script to copy the obsidian folder to drive twice a day.

I think this might be the same issue.

I am also experiencing this issue with iCloud sync and I don’t know what the cause is.
