do you still have this problem? Did you find the cause and solution in the mean time? I’m asking because I have the same or a similar problem where images (PNG) are corrupted by Obsidian. It happens when I open the image in Obsidian. For example, the image is linked to in a note and displays just fine, then then I open the image itself it shows a binary-like output (see pasted screenshot) and also in the note it won’t show up again.
