Obsidian Renderer Crashes Mac and Cause reboot with embedded query v2

I understand that case 10807 was closed, but I came here to report the exact same issue. In the 3 years that I have had my 13-inch 2018 Macbook Pro, it has never crashed. In fact, I don’t think I have ever had a Macbook crash. Mine has now crashed twice within the same week and both time the error message implicates “Process name corresponding to current thread: Obsidian Helper (Renderer)”

Steps to reproduce

As others have reported, I cannot reliably reproduce the issue. Today, I was rendering a query using Dataview, however earlier this week my system just crashed with Obsidian running in the background.

Environment

  • MacOS 11.3
  • Obsidian version: 0.11.13

For what it’s worth, I don’t think most people hit this, but for those that do it’s a bummer.

Your general mac experience is pretty good though. I get at least a kernel panic a month (not from Obsidian). :persevere:
