One way to get recurring revenue could be to get on SetApp (info for developers). Might be worth considering?
I’m a SetApp subscriber myself, and there’s a good amount of high-quality macOS software on there, so while I have no idea what exactly they’re paying devs, it appears to be sufficient for small dev studios at least.
I’m on Setapp also, and I really like the service, but I worry that, as a new app, Obsidian would risk getting lumped in with the category of app that are kind of ok I guess, but that most people don’t buy unless they’re in a cheap bundle.
