Obsidian on Citirx?

Hi everyone,

Our company uses Citrix with FSLogix profile containers, both on the latest current version. We use non-persistent desktops, which helps keep things clean and more secure, but also can make things like software licensing a bit tricky depending on how it is done.

We have a new hire who has asked that we install Obsidian for him, which is fine with us, but since we will require a commercial license, we want to be sure this will work properly in our environment before spending money. The problem with trying the free or trial version is they won’t necessarily tell us how the licensing will work as those versions might do it differently or simply not at all.

Does anyone know if this will work correctly, or better yet, has anyone tried it themselves?

Otherwise, can you tell me how the licensing works and if you think it will operate as intended in a non-persistent environment? Is it stored in the registry (we can inject into the registry on login), or a file somewhere that we can copy in at login, or something else entirely? We are willing to put in effort to make it work, but I just need to know it is at least possible and not just a fool’s errand!

Thanks in advance!

Ian
