Steps to reproduce
- Install Obsidian from Google Play Store on Google Pixel 9 (Android 15).
- Launch the app → the screen slightly shifts as if the app is about to open (Obsidian logo with dark background briefly appears).
- The app instantly closes.
- On the second attempt, Android shows the message:
5.*“Obsidian keeps stopping”** with two options: App info or Close app. - Reinstalling or resetting the phone does not fix the issue.

Yes, I followed the Troubleshooting Guide, cleared cache/data, reinstalled, and even formatted the phone — same issue persists.
There are no third-party plugins, no CSS snippets, and default theme only (fresh install).

This happens every single time I try to open the app.
My new phone has been factory reset and updated to the latest Android build.
Other apps work normally.
Here’s a short description of the sequence:
- First attempt → screen flickers, app closes.
- Second attempt → “Obsidian keeps stopping” popup appears.
Installation on APK as well.
