Obsidian keeps re-indexing my Vault every time I open it, how do I fix it?

But my vault has 57k notes, might that be the issue? It’s a “bookmarks” vault.
Is there any known way I can fix it?
Thanks.

What I’m trying to do

Open a vault in Obsidian without it re-indexing all notes every time I open it.

Things I have tried

Delete all plugins
Use it in restricted mode
Deleting UserData folder in windows
Clean uninstall obsidian and reinstalling it
Rolling back to an older version of obsidian

Obsidian will need to reindex the vault. How else would it update its cache, indexes and metadata information?

57K of notes are a reasonable large vault, but that shouldn’t be the issue, I believe. It wouldn’t hurt though to reduce the number of files. You say it’s a bookmarks vault. Exactly what do you mean by that? Could it possibly be rearranged somehow, or stored in more efficiently?

Do you really have 57K of useful/active bookmarks?! Could it be time for a major cleanup?

I’m having the same issue. Every time I open Obsidian it indexes one of my vaults which takes over 5 mins every time. I have another vault that does not do this.

Have you tried rebuilding cache?

Settings > Files and links > Advanced > Rebuild vault cache
