I would like to setup a second vault. I just copied my first vault with all it’s settings and renamed it and deleted the files I don’t want.
I just wanna know how to set it up as a second Obsidian git folder.
Since I only so far used githup for obsidian^^
any help is much appreciated^^
Repeat the same thing you did when you set up the first repo?

I tried this and it didn’t work.
Massiv errors and I’m not sure what to do.
The current repository wants to merge with the other one and I have deleted the other one. Also it tried to commit all the deleted files.
I just opened another repository with the clone of the folder renamed with the deleted files I don’t want in the second vault.
I’m not sure what the error is since I’m no expert in git. That’s why I asked.
Well I can’t even abort the merging and dunno if my current old vault will still be backed up.
Well, I didn’t tell you to copy the .git folder, did I?
Start learning a bit about git; you can start by browsing questions and answers on StackOverflow. Remove the changes (learn how to use git checkout) and clone from remote anew if in doubt.
This is hardly the place to teach basic stuff about git.

Yea, that’s why I said I hardly know Git, I already have watched a toturial on Git in the interim.
Thanks for your advice. Cheers!
