sharing notes that are inside the obsidian now is not that easy so I would like to make this request
should we have file format as .obsidian so we can export a note to a .obsidian and easily share it with others. the images or any file or any other note that is linked inside the note is inside that .obsidian file and we can open the .obsidian file using obsidian and have two option to just view and edit the note or insert it inside our vault and maybe like it gives option that we can install the plugins that are used inside that note something like dataviewjs or any other plugin
I understand that if we give it like the install the used plugins maybe it will interfere with the plugins that are already installed in users vault so maybe not to install the plugins and just show a list of used plugins
and I don’t mean to change the obsidian from md to .obsidian i think it will just be cool to have the option to export the notes like that to a .obsidian format
maybe the .obsidian file just can be a zip file inside and like if we change the .obsidian to .zip we can open it as a zip file and just there is simply folders and the images inside it so like if a person wanted to open the .obsidian without using obsidian they can do it by just renaming the file to .zip or any archive
the work around for sharing notes with others for me is
- using export to PDF option but unforgettably it does not work in mobile or these plugins
- markdown export that lets turn your note into a folder with all the attachments inside it and also we have this one
- share as zip that does the same thing but it makes it a zip ( and this one also puts the linked notes to the zip file )
and I hope this will mean that we can get the option to open markdown files outside of the vault
