Obsidian File Deleted - No Recovery Snapshot?

What I’m trying to do

One of my files disappeared this morning - I can see it in the snapshot recovery but it just shows a blank and implies that there was never any content in the file.

Things I have tried

I have tried

  • file recovery - no luck as explained above
  • look into iCloud deleted files - it is not there

This happened to me once and the file contents somehow replaced the contents of another note (and wiped a less important note).

I guess you’re using Mac?
Either way, all systems (Mac, Linux, Win) should have integrated backup systems, so you can restore whatever you want.
If you’re on Mac, use Time Machine, if you’re on Linux use Time Shift, on Win you should have something similar. I’d say, Backup solutions are standard on “modern” systems
