Obsidian doesn't recognize the vault as my own

So the problem is as follows:
I open Obsidian, my main vault opens up, but I get a message saying: “Do you trust the author of this vault? You’re opening this vault for the first time…”
Which is obviously not true. I always have to log into my account again and sync.

What do I do? How do I tell Obsidian, that this is the computer and the vault I’ve been working on for about 2 years now? There is also something wrong with some files since that happened, but I think there is nothing to recover, for the version histories show me no differences, unfortunately.

If you have to do this every time obsidian starts and you also have to login every time, it’s a sign that obsidian can’t save some internal info.

And how can I diagnose (a) what internal info obsidian can’t save and (b) if it’s the fault of the info or the fault of my obsidian installation?

First, have a backup.

How and where did you install obsidian itself?

where is your vault located?

Simply on my desktop. So on the part of the drive where my windows user has it’s desktop file. It’s not synchronized with anything like onedrive

try to uninstall Obsidian and then install it again.
