Steps to reproduce

  1. Create file
  2. Edit body of file OR Edit file name
  3. “Old” file appears alongside “New” file

Expected result

Only updated file is present

Actual result

For several files, duplicates were created. This screenshot shows an example with one of the notes:

Environment

  • Operating system: Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7
  • Obsidian version: 0.11.13

Additional information

I’m using Obsidian sync
Never had this problem before today (4/8/2021) and today it’s happened three time, so far, and it does not happen for every note I edit.

ok post a screen recording with no css and no third party plugins.

I think you’re saying reproduce the issue with no theme and only core plugins, right?

I don’t think I can reproduce on demand. I’ll see what I can do.

do you have other sync systems active on your files, like icloud.

Yes. I was editing very rapidly and this likely caused the issue. Fix is to stop either iCloud or Obsidian synch.

Trying to figure out which.
