Open an Obsidian file with Mellel
What I’m trying to do
I’m trying to make Obsidian and Mellel work together. I use both Mellel and Obsidian latest versions on Montery (iMac M1). I usually take and make notes on Obsidian. very often I also write my entire research paper/book on Obsidian but then I need to copy it into Mellel for advanced styling, references etc. So: I open the Obsidian file in Mellel, which handles (almost) everything properly. I also have previously inserted bookends floating references in obsidian, which are then converted in the right format in Mellel, bibliography is generated. What seems to NOT work at all is footnotes: they disappear. The note text is gone, I just have a “reminder” where once there was a footnote, something like [1].
Is anyone using Obsidian and Mellel together? Did you encounter any problems? Any idea on how I can solve this problem?
