Obsidian adding timestamps to imported Roam documents with Chinese titles

Steps to reproduce

Download export of my Roam database.
Move to Obsidian Vault.
Open Vault.

Expected result

Documents with Chinese names should retain those names. 林書豪.md should remain 林書豪.md

Actual result

林書豪.md becomes 林書豪 8.08.13 AM.md

Environment

  • Operating system: MacOS (latest version)
  • Obsidian version: 0.6.2
  • Using custom CSS: Yes

Additional information

This didn’t happen previously. I believe it started with 0.6.0 or later.

That’s weird, I don’t remember we touched file titles. I can’t even imagine making up dates/timestamps on file names either.

Are you sure it’s not Roam exporting files with dates?

The dates aren’t there on export, but I’ll do some additional tests to see if I can figure out what is going on.

So I couldn’t reproduce this. Perhaps it was something I did without realizing it, or perhaps it was something about version 0.6.2 (it is now 0.6.3)… Feel free to close this bug. If it happens again I’ll let you know…
