I often adopt numbered lists of questions from other sources.
These lists belong to specific chapters, say: Section 3, Chapter 5 (of the source).
I want to write answers between these questions. [Return / automatic numbering] causes the numbers to get mixed up again and again. Either the numbering continues from the above chapter number or a return results after “1.” another “1.” etc.
Can I turn off this automatic somehow? I’d rather number by hand than try forever to tame the numbering.
