Notes with these characters (-, >) in the title will not be synced between Mac and Windows.

If syncing is not normal, please display a pop-up window saying that the character is unusable.

Unable to download file with illegal name

The file contains a special character or naming convention that is not allowed on the receiving operating system. For ease, you can rename the file on it’s source device to remove all special characters but - and _.

Note that this also includes files with multiple periods . in their name on Android devices.

Moved to Help for not following the bug report, and because at least part of it isn’t a bug.

It’s expected that a file with > in the name won’t sync, because it’s not allowed in filenames on Windows. Can you confirm that a file with its name containing only letters and - doesn’t sync? That character should work on any system.

I believe there is a feature request in the forum asking for Sync to notify about this (or about errors in general, or about other errors) instead of just logging it. You can add feedback there to show your support for it.
