Hello,
I’m experiencing a critical issue with Obsidian. Whenever I copy and paste an image along with text into a new note, the note immediately disappears and gets automatically deleted. It’s impossible to recover the note afterward.
Here are the details of my setup:
- Obsidian version: 1.7.7 (latest version).
- Operating system: Windows 11.
- Vault location: Stored locally on my primary drive, not in a synced folder (e.g., OneDrive or Google Drive).
- Number of notes: My vault contains only 25 notes, mostly Markdown files.
- Plugins enabled: None.
- Sync: Disabled.
What I’ve tried so far:
- Completely uninstalled Obsidian.
- Deleted the configuration files in the AppData folder.
- Reinstalled Obsidian and created a new vault.
- Copied my existing notes into the new vault.
Unfortunately, despite these steps, the issue persists. Every time I paste an image and text into a new note, it disappears immediately.
- Has anyone else encountered this issue or has any idea about its cause?
- Are there specific limits or restrictions on the type of content (e.g., images) that can be added to Obsidian?
- Is there a way to access logs or a diagnostic mode in Obsidian to analyze this behavior?
