Note layout/display with page structure (like in word) possible?

Hi all,

I am writing academic texts in Obsidian and really enjoy all the features and the flexibility it offers. Sometimes I would like to see how my texts would look like ‘on paper’. Is there a possibility to get a layout of a note as if it were written on pages, like you see texts in word for example? Right now I just make exports for that, but it would be nicer to have the option inside of Obsidian…

I don’t know of one. The Markdown editor iA Writer’s preview mode includes a paged view. Other Markdown editors might in include something similar, or at least a print preview. Any of these could be accessed from Obsidian by setting them as your default app for .md files and choosing “open in default app” from Obsidian’s note menu.
