No nav bar and stuck in search mode

I have searched and seen this is supposed to be fixed. Having this issue on ipad pro and two separate android phones.

There is no nav bar appearing at all. No toolbar appearing.

Installed and reinstalled. Appears on reinstall and then disappears.

With or without an external keyboard.

Steps to reproduce

Starting from scratch, what are the steps to make the bug happen?

Disappears on opening any note.

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? Y

Did you try the above steps in the sandbox vault (or just any vault started in restricted mode, no snippets and default theme)?

Yes although ig took forever to know what to do. I sm new to this app and this is very hard and time consuming.

No default themes didnt get that far.

Installation is straight out of the box.

After making my first Template and setting up directories.

Fault not existing in a new vault then nav bar and folders disappear after creating first note every time. Created two new vaults and everything is there, new note created no nav bar.

If i uninstall and reinstall then folders will reappear then disappear after creating new note. Every time.

There are no plugins enabled at all other than those that come with the program.

I switched everything off and it still happens.

Program is unuseable.

I am not experienced enough to code.

I’m really not sure what you mean by “nav bar” or which bug you’re referring to but to get out of Search on an iPad, you should be able to do so by opening the left sidebar (tapping on the top left icon) …

… then tap on the “top” dropdown which should be stating Search…

… and in the list of options tap on Files.
This should get you to the Files explorer where you’ll find folders and notes

I don’t own an Android phone, but the process should be similar on these I guess

If you have an android phone <=10, it may be this.

If you have newer android phones, open a new bug and follow the template.

For the ipad pro, open a new bug and follow the template.

What does “not work” look like?

If by “nav bar” you mean the file browser, maybe it got closed or deactivated? In the command palette, do “Files: Show file explorer”. If that command isn’t available, make sure Settings > Core Plugins > Files is enabled.

Yes, the dropdown arrow is greyed out, so the only option is to search on the left side ribbon.
