Newbie: using Obsidian to read various flavors of markdown and export as a PDF

What I’m trying to do

I am trying to use Obsidian to read various flavors of markdown (e.g., the form Grok uses) so that I can save a file (ideally PDF) and view the rendered equations and markdown formatting.

Is this possible?

Things I have tried

I took some Grok markdown that came from simply copying the text from the website and pasted it into a new file. I formatted as Math View, but of course this formats everything as math, which isn’t right.

Is it possible to do what I am hoping to do with Obsidian? I was sent here by Gemini 3.0 AI…
Many thanks!

The only viable (free) solution I have found is to paste the mix of MD and LaTeX into Perplexity, ask it to render it (which it did perfectly) and then export as a PDF.
