New user, can't find where to turn off text suggestions

I downloaded this as a Notion alternative earlier today and Im not tech savvy in the slightest, so forgive me if this is something obvious.

What I’m trying to do

When I type, I get suggestions on what the next word is “going to be”, I need to turn this off

Things I have tried

Can’t find it in settings, read thru the help site 2-3x, read every tangentially related forum post I could find. I’m lost.

This doesn’t sound like default behavior. Is this in desktop/laptop or mobile Obsidian?

Two things I can think of to start:

  • You installed a community plugin that is trying to predict and complete text.
  • Your OS is doing some sort of predictive text.
