New Settings: Limit number of open tabs

Use case or problem

There are 30+ open tabs, I don’t want to have to close them manually.

Proposed solution

Option in settings which sets the maximum number of tabs that can be open at any time. Close the oldest accessed tab automatically when a new one is opened.

this would be great. it would be useful to limit per each split (e.g., if you have tabs split down the middle, the limit is considered separately)

Good idea! I understand that what you’re requesting is much more useful, but figured I should mention the “Close all other tabs” command just in case. It can be run via hotkey.

gosh I really need this. or a command to close all tabs except the current one in the particular division of the split I’m currently in.
