Hi everyone! I wanted to share a plugin I’ve been working on that lets you create customizable bento-style grids directly inside Obsidian. The goal is to make it easy to build a personal dashboard for whatever matters in your workflow.
What it does
The plugin creates a grid-based dashboard where you can add widgets and arrange them.
Current widget support includes:
- Markdown widgets: write notes, reminders, to-dos, or quick references
- Image widgets: display covers, inspiration boards, diagrams, etc.
- Page widgets: embed and view specific notes/pages
- Countdown widgets: track deadlines, exams, launches, events, and more
Each widget can be:
- Dragged to reposition it
- Resized to fit your layout
- Shown in transparent mode for seamless integration with your theme or shown in standard mode for a more traditional card-style dashboard
Current state
The plugin is usable and already pretty fun to build with. While testing, I found a few small bugs and rough edges. Nothing major, but there are some issues I’d like to polish. I’ll take care of them once I have a bit more free time.
Feedback, ideas, and bug reports are very welcome!
