Nested lists render improperly in reading mode if level is empty

Steps to reproduce

Type the following markdown in a file:

1. 1.
- -

Enter reading mode.

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]

Yes

Expected result

The lists renders approximately as written (Obsidian forum renders it correctly, as does CommonMark):

Actual result

Obsidian renders it with a vertical bar intersecting the top-level label, indicating indentation:

The same result occurs even if there is more whitespace e.g.

Pinging this thread since it has been a month. In case anyone cares, this is a legitimate use case that I have attempted to do multiple times before.
