We strongly recommend you to search the forum with possible keywords before submitting a new bug report. Please also try your repro steps with third-party plugins and custom CSS disabled and see if it’s still reproducible. If it’s an issue with third-party plugins or themes, try contacting the author for help. Once you’ve done the above, delete this line.
Steps to reproduce
- With Sliding Panes (Andy’s Mode) plugin enabled, ensure either the Cycle Through Panes or Pane Relief plugin is enabled
- Open two or more regular note panes
- Ctrl-Click on Graph View in left sidebar to open the graph view pane.
- Note that the Graph View pane is minimized
- Note that using your configured hotkeys, cycling through panes does not maximize the Graph View pane even when its heading is highlighted
Expected result
I expect the Graph View pane to cycle into view just like the other panes.
Actual result
I expected the Graph View pane to fill the available space with the other panes minimized to their headings.

Custom theme: for cosmetic issues, please first try updating your theme to latest. If still not fixed, please try to make the issue happen in the Sandbox Vault or disable community theme and snippets.
Community plugins: for bugs, please first try updating all your plugins to latest. If still not fixed, please try to make the issue happen in the Sandbox Vault or disable community plugins.
Additional information
Using the hotkey for the Maximize Active Pane plugin works around this problem, in that it forces each pane to take up all the display area. Toggling it off and cycling away from Graph View “restores” the previous behavior where notes will fill slide open/closed, but the Graph View remains closed/minimized.
Finally, this does seem like a plugin issue rather than an issue with core obsidian code. I just wonder if something inadvertently changed with Graph View that’s preventing both Cycle Through Panes and Pane Relief from treating Graph View like the panes for regular notes.
