What I’m trying to do
3 folders need to be created in just one Obsidian vault.
Folder 1: Evernote contents. This folder must be readable and searchable, but will be inactive. Just an archive.
Folder 2: Roam Research contents. This folder must be readable and searchable, but will be inactive. Just an archive.
Folder 3: Obsidian2025. All my note taking, from this point on, will be in this folder.
Things I have tried
I am trying to use Dataview plugin but i dont know how to
Dataview purpose is not to create folders.
The File explorer lets you manage files and folders inside your vault. You can browse notes and other Accepted file formats in your vault and perform many common file operations: Create, delete, and …
So, until this point, you don’t need to use Dataview. If you need help on some specific task, you must be more specific with questions.

What I’m trying to do
I’m new to Obsidian and need help setting up a vault with three folders:
An archive for Evernote content that’s readable and searchable but inactive.
An archive for Roam Research content that’s also readable and searchable but inactive.
A working folder (Obsidian2025) for all my new notes going forward.
I’d also like to use the DataView plugin to organize and query these folders. Any tips or suggestions are greatly appreciated
I’m trying to create a system in Obsidian to organize and manage my notes efficiently. Here’s what I’d like to achieve:
Have two archive folders—one for Evernote content and one for Roam Research content—that I can search and read but won’t actively edit.
Set up a dedicated folder for all my new notes moving forward, starting fresh in Obsidian.
Use the DataView plugin to organize and query notes across these folders for easier navigation and reference.
Things I have tried
I have not tried yet. just getting started
