Multiple Issues with Obsidian

Hi, I’ve been using obsidian for over a year now and I am experiencing these issues:
I can’t copy and paste an image, nothing happens when I try to do this (nothing gets pasted).
I can’t use a to-do list plugin correctly, whenever I try to insert the square nothing happens.
I can’t create new notes using the designated buttons, I have to create them with a really silly approach.

I have tried my best to search for solutions, I uninstalled and installed again and nothing seems to change. I use obsidian for my work and the last couple of months have been so frustrating that I’m considering migrating to notion.

What can I do to reset everything and reinstall my plugins?

thanks in advance

If we ask you to copy here your debug info (Command Palette → Show Debug Info), can you do that?
Also, state which platform you are on if more than one.

I have no show debug info option on command palette

I mainly use it on PC and secondly on my phone, on my phone it works ok.

thanks for your reply

PC means Windows?

By default, CTRL + P: Open Command Palette (CMD + P on Mac)
{C460A52D-E073-4EF3-9121-0F563AB822B2}

Type in: debug

Copy and paste here the output.

You don’t have it in the command palette?! That’s rather strange, are you running on a very old variant on your PC? Do you have an About Obsidian option in your menu somewhere?

Community plugins: for bugs, please first try updating all your plugins to latest. If still not fixed, please try to make the issue happen in the Sandbox Vault or disable community plugins.

thanks

As I normally would say, I don’t know half your plugins, but…

  • MAKE.md – I’ve heard and seen problems from users who had it.
  • Editing Toolbar had performance issues: update it.
  • Tasks is way behind the latest version: update it.

Basically update all your plugins. And if you still face problems, turn off all of them, check the state of things and try turning them on one by one. Try to say goodbye to MAKE.md, probably.
With Editing Toolbar (which just raises CPU usage), if you prepared to fix that, you need to add that main.js subsitution file from the link with Obsidian closed.

Just to answer this specifically, you don’t need to reinstall the plugins.

In Settings → Community plugins → Current plugins → Check for updates

When you click that it will look for updates for them all. And then you can update them one by one, or all at once. I recommend backing up your vault before making big updates, just to be safe. (And backup always as well.)

After you click “Check for updates” you should see the button turn to “Update All”:
