Things I have tried

I have a few DOCX format notes with A LOT of pictures in them. Pretty much it’s pictures and a few lines of text. I’ve used Pandoc to convert the DOCX to md (this was the command: pandoc -o output.md --extract-media=./ input.docx ) but now i face a problem with the pictures.

What I’m trying to do

the pictures in the MD file are linked like this:

I use the PARA method for organizing things (a bunch of folders)
if i move the media folder and the output.md file all the images break and don’t show up anymore

i essentially want to move the output.md file and the media folder/attachments (pictures) around without it breaking.

(In Obsidian i have under “File & Links” the “Default location for new attachments” set to “in subfolder under current folder” and that’s how i want the attachments to function in the output.md file - so that i can move my notes and folders around without the images not showing up)

change your links to

![[image1.png]]

and it won’t matter where they are. obsidian will find them. But if there are duplicate file names you will have to rename them.
