"Move file to" not working with multiple selected files

Steps to reproduce

  1. Select multiple notes with SHIFT+CLICK in the file explorer.
  2. Use RIGHTCLICK and select the “Move file to …” option to move the files somewhere.

Expected result

All of the selected files should be moved to the target folder.

Actual result

Only the file that has been right-clicked on is moved.

Environment

  • Operating system: Ubuntu 20.04
  • Obsidian version: Obsidian v0.10.1

Additional information

I’m not sure whether this is a bug or feature request, but “Move file” should respect the selection so I decided to put it here. Sometimes when trying to perform “Move file” on multiple notes the note actually being moved is highlighted, sometimes not. I think it’d be great if selected notes would be highlighted the same way as they are when using mouse drag+drop when performing RIGHTCLICK actions as well.

None of the rightclick menu items work, currently. We have’t implemented this yet. Please, open a feature request.

So, would I be correct in assuming, that ‘moving’ the files using the Mac Finder from one (sub)folder to another (sub)folder within the Vault structure would break all the Links (wiki or otherwise) and Linked or Unlinked Mentions.

unlinked mentions aren’t linked, so there’s nothing to break.

If you use shortest path, and the files are uniquely named, the links will still be correct.

Great! Thanks.

This is still an issue. Is there a fix coming for this? Thanks.
