Mount vault on android not working

What I’m trying to do

I’m trying to mount an Obsidian Vault, which is located on my NAS, to my phone obsidian app.

Things I have tried

I’ve tried using Samsung files app and connect to my NAS there, tried Amaze File manager, with both I’m able to see and interact with the Vault Folder, but unable to open in Obsidian.

Then I’ve tried using this app: GitHub - wa2c/cifs-documents-provider: CIFS Documents Provider which seems to make it possible to sync a smb share to the phone storage.
While that worked, I can finally at least see the vault’s files in the obsidian file picker.

However upon opening the folder I get this error:

Thanks for sharing any ideas on how to make the cifs documents provider work or share any other apps or methods that helped you achieve the same goal.
And no I do not wanna use obsidian sync.
